Another winning performance from Sarnafil Plus

Manchester Arena, managed and operated by SMG Europe, is one of the busiest venues in the world and the largest indoor arena in Europe.

Four outstanding young roofers from around the United Kingdom will be heading to Poland this coming October to take part in the bi-annual World Championship for Young Roofers, organised by the International Federation of Roofing Contractors (IFD). This year the competition is being hosted by the Polish Roofing Trade Association, Polskie Stowarzyszenie Dekarzy (PSD).

800m² of Shackerley’s SureClad® ceramic granite cladding has been used to refurbish a prestigious seven-storey office block in Birmingham, overcoming planning sensitivities in a designated conservation area. Ceramic granite, a high performance façade material with almost zero porosity, has helped to provide a new protective outer envelope whilst maintaining the building’s original natural travertine stone appearance.

Last year a new version of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015) was introduced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). These regulations affect almost everybody involved in construction, from clients and designers to suppliers and contractors, and are applied to all sites.

The increase in rain events and flooding and a lowering of the water table are clear indicators that the ecology of the water cycle has been severely impaired as a result of climate change and the consistently high level of soil sealing.
