The RIBA-approved seminar covers the subject of Type A “barrier” waterproofing protection, which is applied to either the internal or external surface of a structure to resist the pressure of water trying to enter a building.
The presentation also explores Type A waterproofing design requirements, including the principles of Type A membranes, the reasons behind historic failures, and how to design effective Type A solutions utilising pre-applied, post-applied and internal membranes, as well as the relevant detailing and application issues to be aware of.
