A Premium Finish at a Sensible Price

Polyx®-Oil from Osmo UK is a premium wood finish guaranteed to keep wooden surfaces in top condition. Ideal for solid, engineered or laminate wood, it is a high quality, water-repellent and tread-resistant wood finish based on natural ingredients. Available in a glossy, satin, semi-matt and matt finishes, the Polyx®-Oil range offers the highest coverage of any oil on the market - a 2.5 litre can cover approximately 30m² with two coats.

Polyx®-Oil is extremely easy to apply. Simply brush onto the woods surface along the grain to achieve deep, long-lasting penetration. Another key benefit of this hardwax-oil is that Polyx®-Oil uses a dearomatized and benzene free white spirit, therefore making the odour more pleasant in comparison to others. This makes Polyx®-Oil a much healthier wood care product to use. Polyx®-Oil also contains no biocides or preservatives and is safe for humans, animals and plants when dry.

Ideal Wood Treatment

Offering all the professional features of a traditional oil-based finish, Polyx®-Oil combines the smooth surface of conventional lacquers, and the ease of application of a water-based finish, while managing to eliminate the inherent disadvantages of these other types of finish. Unlike ordinary oil finish products which form a film on the wood, Polyx®-Oil’s natural components penetrate deeply into the wood to create a micro-porous finish that does not crack, flake, peel or blister. After treatment, the wood is nourished from within and retains its elasticity. It becomes water repellent, stain resistant and more hard-wearing, because it meets the wood’s natural demands.

As well as the Polyx®-Oil Original products, Osmo offers a number of other finishes in this range.

Polyx®-Oil Tints

Osmo Polyx®-Oil Tints brings a touch of elegance and glamour to any room. The range of protective wood finishes includes gold and silver tones which achieve a glitter finish, especially when the sun catches it. Other colours include white, honey, amber, terra, graphite and black.

Polyx®-Oil Raw

Polyx®-Oil Raw is lightly tinted protective finish that provides an original, untreated appearance for wooden floors. This finish is designed to retain this appearance by using a small amount of white pigments to neutralise the permanent 'wet-look' that develops after application of a clear finish.

Polyx®-Oil Rapid

As the name suggests, Polyx®-Oil Rapid provides a superior finish in extra quick time. In fact, the short drying time allows two coats to be applied in just one day – and there is no need to use a primer. And the wear resistance of treated floors even exceeds that of conventional parquet seals and varnishes.

Polyx®-Oil Anti-Slip

Polyx®-Oil Anti-Slip increases the slip resistance of frequently maintained flooring areas. The surface retains its natural appearance while the fine structure particles in the finish prevent it from becoming slippery.

Polyx®-Oil 2K

Polyx®-Oil 2K Pure is a two-part hardwax oil that has been designed for professional use where surfaces are subjected to high traffic. As well as providing more robust protection, the two component system includes a hardener which rapidly reduces the drying and curing times; a major advantage for commercial use such as retail environments.

Available direct or from approved stockists nationwide, Polyx®-Oil meets all relevant environmental and performance standards. For stockists and more information, please contact us.
