The NEW Lo-Seal Trap from CCL Wetrooms Granted Seal of Approval by the BBA

CCL Wetrooms, the UK’s leading Wetroom Specialist, are delighted to announce that their new Lo-Seal Trap has received a British Board of Agrément (BBA) certificate following a comprehensive product testing programme. The rigorous process involved laboratory tests, on-site evaluations, quality management checks and production inspections and assessments set by the BBA.

Recognised throughout the construction industry as a symbol of quality and reassurance, BBA certification is a mark of quality, safety and reliability that the product is fit for purpose. The BBA is one of the leading notified bodies in the UK, offering approval, certification and testing services to manufacturers of products or services supplying the construction industry.

Designed as the central element of the Linear Screed Drain and the Modular Wet-Floor System, the new Lo-Seal waterless trap at a cutting edge depth of only 45mm, has been developed specifically for use in wetroom construction projects with screed depths of below 70mm. Made from tough Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), the trap has an improved design which contains a self-sealing mechanism, which locks into position, keeping the trap sealed when not in use. This ensures that even when the shower is left unused for prolonged periods, the trap cannot dry out.

The new slimline linear drain allows the waste position to be rotated through 360°, enabling easy installation into any floor type. Thanks to its uniquely adjustable stainless steel grill, any size or depth of natural stone or porcelain tile can be accommodated into the Stone-Infill Grill. The new Lo-Seal trap can also be used in combination with the new Frameless Grill from CCL Wetrooms, to create a contemporary finish to a wetroom floor with no visible frame. The minimal aesthetics of the grill perfectly complements all ranges of brassware and sanitary ware in the bathroom.

Howard Ball, Sales & Marketing Director at CCL Wetrooms commented: "We are delighted to have received BBA approval for our new Lo-Seal Trap, the symbol of quality and reassurance throughout the construction industry. We believe that this will provide Architects, Technical Officers, M&E Consultants and Contractors with even greater confidence when specifying the Lo-Seal Trap into their shallow wetroom construction projects.“

The Linear Screed Drain with new Lo-Seal Trap is also available to view on the RIBA Product Selector website and holds an NBS Plus specification.
