Column Casing Installed at EPAC by Pendock

Column casings, from the Pendock Radius range have been installed at the Extreme Photonic Application Centre, or EPAC, in Didcot, Oxfordshire, to conceal interior structural supports for the building’s 11-metre-high glazed facade.

Three of the six column casings span the full height of the main entrance and reception while the others are 8 metres high and are located adjacent to the main foyer in an area that provides access to EPAC’s laboratories and offices.

Each 350mm diameter casing is bespoke manufactured from pre-formed MDF and incorporates a durable high pressure laminate surface finish. This not only resists scuffing and damage but also simplifies maintenance.

As the standard height for the MDF-CL column casings is 3 metres they’re stacked to reach the extended heights required at EPAC which also provides an integrated finish to the interior of the facility.

Head to Pendock’s website for detailed information on their full range of casing solutions.
